gfxboot-themes software package provides tool to test and create graphical boot logos (themes), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gfxboot-themes
gfxboot-themes is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gfxboot-themes package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gfxboot-themes *
You will get with gfxboot-themes package name, version, architecture and description in a table
